 Summary

How much clarity do you have in your life right now?

If you have lost a bit of your clarity, do a self-evaluation and ask yourself what tripped you up and got in your way?  It seems that judgement surrounds us all the time, but man this year it is on steroids. I cannot believe the negative things that come out of people’s mouths these days and so much of it sits in total judgement of others. It is impossible to see anything clearly when judgement is clouding your path. By just removing all judgement your highest level of clarity will be so much easier to maintain and honestly increase your clarity in many areas.

So how do we do this? Because we know that just saying “I am going to be more aware or I am not going to judge others is great but hard to sustain without some way to measure ourselves, or quite honestly someway to catch ourselves being naughty. Ask yourself how much clarity you have in your life right now. Look at your relationships, your work life, your spiritual world, your health and just do a recap of where you are. You may be surprised that by answering your own questions you discover that you are not where you once were in terms of having a very clear plan of what your world should look like.

You see, even if you once had amazing clarity of where you are and where you are headed, it is possible to lose sight of it as we get absorbed in things going on around us. We seriously must have a mindset of awareness to make sure that we stay in the groove. Clarity takes ongoing work. You do not just wake up with it one day and then you can mark it off your list and move on. It is a constant working piece that is always adapting and adjusting. Clarity gets updated as our lives grow and change.

Are you being judgmental? Whether it be wrong or right, it is super helpful just to recognize our own thoughts and actions and see how they present themselves. Where does that judgement come from? Is it social conditioning, beliefs you have, or maybe the influence of those closest to you? What would it feel like to lose all judgement? I can bet that if we were able to do this, even for one solid week, we would find our world open up to opportunities and relationships that otherwise would never have happened.

Here is your homework where you can start. I challenge you to start tomorrow with the intention of being completely non-judgmental. Now, let’s see how much clarity you can enjoy.

Never before do I feel like there has been a harder time then now to maintain clarity.  If you have done the hard work to define what clarity is, then with great insight you may feel that you have gained clarity in many areas of your life.  Now the challenge is to maintain that clarity and to keep moving forward towards those goals and that lifestyle that you are creating for yourself.

With this year being tough in so many different ways, whether it be the COVID pandemic or the presidential race, regardless of what side you are on, maybe you found yourself unemployed…its just been a year with some very unique challenges that often times mess things up in our heads in regards to knowing what we are striving for and the amazing ambitions that we had previously set for ourselves.  It is so easy to go through every day just maintaining some semblance of balance.  The longer that pattern is repeated the further away we tend to find all that we aspired to be.  We find ourselves very convincing that we just don’t have time or the talent or even the support to go after the dreams that we had such great clarity on just a few months or even weeks ago.

So how can we maintain that clarity and not get swept up in all of the emotion and turmoil that seems to want to suck us in and throw us off track?

I am going to give you a couple of tips to help you maintain your clarity and then some ways to bring you back in alignment with your clarity.

The first thing that I find can really help me stay in touch with who I want to be and how I want to show up is to be aware.  What does that mean?  Do you ever have those days where you just go from task to task or from putting out one fire to another.  Where you are just on auto pilot not doing anything that has a purpose or direction behind it except to fix things for those around you?  When this happens to me, I definitely know that I have lost all awareness of what is important to me.  This is where we really need to stop and get back in touch with every feeling, every thought and every situation.  Really stop, what you are doing and analyze how am I feeling right now?  What thoughts are going through my head and are they the thoughts that will send me in the direction to being the best version of myself that I can be?  This puts you back in mental control of where you go and how you feel about things.  It takes you out of the rat maze and focuses you back in a straight line towards the things that define who you are.  I know it is much easier said than done as the world just keeps throwing its own agenda at us but remember that you are in charge of how you think and act and no one can take that away from you.

Another thing that tends to get in our way and pull us out of our own world of crystal-clear clarity is judgement.  It seems that judgement surrounds us all the time, but man this year it is on steroids.  I can’t believe the negative things that come out of peoples mouths these days and so much of it sits in total judgement of others.

None of us are great at consistently behaving perfectly without something to jump up in front of us and show us the way back to the way we want to be seen.

This is going to seem super simplistic, but before you poo poo it, give it a try.  Ask yourself how much clarity you have in your life right now.  Look at your relationships, your work life, your spiritual world, your health and just do a recap of where you are.  You may be surprised that by answering your own questions you discover that you are not where you once were in terms of having a very clear plan of what your world should look like.

You see even if you once had amazing clarity of where you are and where you are headed, it is possible to lose site of it as we get absorbed in things going on around us.  We seriously have to have a mindset of awareness to make sure that we stay in the groove.  Clarity takes ongoing work.  You don’t just wake us with it one day and then you can mark it off your list and move on.  It is a constant working piece that always adapting and adjusting.  Clarity gets updated as our lives grow and change.

As we enter the end of this year and move into next, do you know what you want to feel, what you want to accomplish.  Get connected with those thoughts and visions again until you can truly think more clearly and act purposeful about where you are going.

If you have lost a bit of your clarity and even if you have regained some of it, do an evaluation and ask yourself what tripped you up and got in your way?   What could you do today to work towards regaining that clarity?

Here is a challenge for you, spend a day being super cognitive on how you view everything around you including yourself.  What does that self-talk sound like when you view others or situations?  Are you being judgmental?  Whether it be wrong or right, it is super helpful just to recognize our own thoughts and actions and see how they present themselves.  Where does that judgement come from?  Is it social conditioning, beliefs you have, or maybe the influence of those closest to you.  What would it feel like to lose all judgement?  I can bet that if we were able to do this, even for one solid week, we would find our world open up to opportunities and relationships that otherwise would never have happened.  I present you with this challenge.  Start tomorrow with the intention of being completely non-judgmental.  Now, when you catch yourself and you will, rewind the tape in your mind and hit replay, reformatting the thoughts that you just had in a more positive, accepting tone.  Then do it again the next day and I bet you will find that the more days in a row that you do this, the less that you have to stop and redo as you are training yourself along the way to be who you want to be.

Going forward, if you have determined that you are just not feeling as on as you would like, then do a clarity check like we talked about earlier and see where you are at.  You can enhance your clarity by really being present in the moment, be aware of what you are thinking and how it sounds to you.  Does it sound like something you would want others to hear or is it negative or condescending?  Try this a few times a day and you will likely find that the voices in your head change as you regain that clarity that you have worked so hard for.
